Untried Polish Challenge - Number 7 Neutral

Today I decided to do neutral because I have a ton lot of those, and maybe most are untried. Even though I have been disapointed in Essie in the past, I had bought this bottle at Winners because it was only $5 I love the colour so I decided to try out Essie Uptown Taupe and see how it would be. It was actually pretty good formula and only a little runny. It had almost full coverage at two coats, I could have done a third since I can still see through to my nail in a few places, but it's not noticeable enough to worry about.

Essie Uptown Taupe and GOSH Miss Mole

Since Uptown Taupe is a shimmer finish and shines like crazy. Since I wanted something a little understated, I used a matte topcoat to take it down a notch. Also I just love matte for my 'work nails' >>;  I used stamping to add GOSH Miss Mole for the pattern, which was a little darker than it looked in the bottle, but it is such a lovely colour that I actually like it better. It was pretty easy to stamp too, it was opaque enough that it covered pretty well and ended up being a good colour match.

Natural Light

Over all I am happy with both of the polishes, and I would still enjoy Uptown Taupe even without the matte top coat.
