China Glaze Sun Worshiper, Japanese Koi, and OPI Kennebunk-Port

I decided to do a bright ombre because I have been feeling the need for more orange in my life.

I started with two coats of China Glaze Sun Worshiper, you can still see lines at this point, but when I put the other colours over top I couldn't see any trace of nail lines.

Natural Light - Shade

I used China Glaze Japanese Koi for my orange which I sponged on along with the OPI Kennebunk-Port (The red). They were easy to work with for a quick and dirty polish job.

Natural Light - Sun

I use a normal makeup sponge to do the ombre. To speed things up I placed one line of each colour on the sponge and then carefully move up and down to blur the line.

I taped around my nails so there was not very much cleanup after. Overall I was really happy with these nails, no effort, and I got great colour.

ORLY Hook Up and Covergirl Coral Silk

Hello,

Yes it has been a while, but things have settled down now that I am out of Uni for the semester. I hope you have all been well too! I bring you some bright nails today!

I started with one coat of OPI Alpine Snow so that I had a white base to work from. Then I used two coats of ORLY Hook Up. It's a little sheer and you could see through it easily, which is why I decided to do strips of Covergirl Coral Silk. It would probably need three or four coats to really become opaque even with the white under it.

Natural Light - Sun

I used striping tape, to add the Coral Silk. I really loved it's formula. Thick and opaque. It went on really well and I love all coral coloured polishes so it wasn't a surprise I needed it.

Natural light - Shade

The best thing about Hook Up is not only is it a pretty colour, it also has mini flecks in it that sparkle yellow. There aren't that obvious so no one will comment on it unless you stick your fingers in their face but over all I think it looks really great. I am still not sure if it's worth the amount of coats it would probably need to be fully opaque, but it is a nice colour.

Natural Light - Sun

I don't know if I will ever use Hook Up that much more unless it's summer, but Coral Silk was really nice and I would like to use it more often.

I plan to do Christmas themed nails starting next month, so lets see if I will be able to stand it for the whole month.

Stealing From Charity in the sun!

So my grandma is back at home from the hospital, so hopefully I will have an inch of time again. So today I bring you shimmery nails.

I used two coat of Don't Burst My Bubble, a lovely sheer nude. I adore this so much, it made my nails look lighter and they also kept a nice nail line. It pretty just made my nails look better than they really are.

Natural Light - Sun

I added one coat of Stealing From Charity by Fanchromatic Nails (I LOVE IT). I adore this polish , it's amazing glitter polish. I think their site says it best "it's a soft sheen of iridescent red, filled in liberally with gold, copper, silver, and bronze glitter and microflakes in various shapes and sizes.", for real this is my favorite things ever.

Natural Light - Shade

For my accent nails (thumb and ring finger) I added a thin coat of OPI Oy-Another Polish Joke, just to add a little punch of gold on my nails.
Natural Light - Sun

I adore Stealing From Charity, I left this on for almost five days, and I only had a tiny bit of chipping. It was so pretty, and it looks great in the sun. I need a full size of this, it's so very pretty.

Quo by ORLY Mystic Night Swatch

Sorry for not posting lately, my grandmother broke her neck (she will be okay just needs lots of rehab) so things have been crazy for my family for the last while. So I decided to let you guys know and just throw up a swatch of one of my favorite polishes.

This is Mystic Night from Quo by ORLY. I used two coats and no top coat for this picture. You can kind of see the line marks from the brush, but I feel that they are faint enough that I wouldn't really worry about it.

Natural Light - Sun

The colour is this just makes me drool, it is so changeable from high to low light and shimmers like crazy. The application was super easy as well, as most Quo polishes seem to be. I really like their brushes.

Natural Light - Sun

I threw a top coat on it so that you could get an idea of what it looks like, and I honestly think it just makes it look better.

Natural Light - Shade - Topcoat

I wore it for about three days before I got any real chipping on it, so I was really pleased with how long it lasted as I am a little hard on my nails.

Natural Light - Sun - Topcoat

Hopefully things will get back on track again soon!

Mint nails for Talia Joy

Recently Talia Joy passed away from cancer, last Friday everyone was meant to post mint coloured nails. I didn't have time this weekend to do it because my aunt was visiting.

I have also lost two of my grandparents to cancer, and one of my aunts struggles with skin cancer. Last month I lost an uncle to cancer that had moved to his brain, so I felt like this was something I really wanted to take part in.

Natural light - Sun

I used GOSH Venus on my pointer, and Layla Platinum Sky for my ring finger. They were my two non-mint coloured nails, but I felt like they went really well with the two mints I had picked out. I ended up stamping wings on them both, because it felt fitting.

The two mints I used are GOSH Miss Minty, and Maybelline Mint Mist. My pinkie is Mint mist with Miss minty dotted on top and the other one is the opposite.

 Natural Light - Shade

I finished a bottle of my normal topcoat and like an idiot thought "oh I should use up my Sache before I start on the next one", annnd it wrinkled my thumb and ring finger polish.

That is all for today.

Alphabet Challenge A is for Aztec.

Okay so someone on Reddit started an alphabet challenge and I decided I would give it a try.

The first one is Aztec, and as I have never done them before I thought it would thing to try. I may have been wrong since it went really badly.

I used two coats of Quo by ORLY Coffee & Cream to start out and then I decided I would try out a nailpolish pen that I got a while ago. It was super hard to get the polish to come out, so the lines were very uneven. It had both white and black, so they are both mystery polish.

Natural Light - Sun

They were also super lumpy, so I think it would have been better with a paint brush. I used two coats of my top-coat to even it out in the end.

Natural Light - Shade

I also feel like it didn't look that Aztec at all, but that is okay, I kinda liked it other than how shaky it is.

Hannibals Office.

Since Fandom Cosmetics released a Hannibal themed polish. (Lets be honest I have been looking for one since April.) I got excited and did Hannibal themed nails, except I based it off the colours in his office.

Natural Light - Sun

I did my accent nails with one coat of OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys, and GOSH Nero stamped over top to give it a wooden look. I wanted to do something woody to match his desk and the book shelves in the office. Since they are a darker wood I thought the was a fairly good match.

I couldn't really find any good pictures of the office,
but you can see the wooden things here.

For the rest of my fingers I did two coats of OPI Alpine Snow, and then one coat of OPI My Pointe Exactly to try and get the grey look of his curtains. I then used a little brush to add streaks of darker grey which didn't really show up lots in the pictures. After I tore some tape to get uneven strips and used them to cover while I sponged on a mix of OPI I'm Suzi & I'm A Chocoholic, and OPI Kennebunk-Port.

Natural Light

Please don't judge the show form this picture,
it was the best I could find of the curtains.

Anyway, I am not 100% sure if I will get the collection or not, I probably will, but I hope the swatches are just not as pretty as real life.

- Anna

Ps. Yes I broke two nails before I did this, and had to file them down so that is why they are much shorter now.
